Art Contest
The Carpinteria Woman’s Club is holding its annual Student Art Contest. See Mrs. Kakalamanos if you are interested in entering contest. Entries are due Friday, May 9

Washington DC
There will be a Washington DC fundraiser meeting today at lunch in Mr. J's room.

Garden Club
Garden Club this Thursday at 2:00pm. Excellent work this week ladies and gentlemen. The Garden is looking amazing because of you! See you in the garden Thursday right after school. Miss C and Mrs. Crowe

ASB Vote '08
ASB Officer Campaign begins today for 7th Grade and runs through Friday. Candidate speeches will be given during TGIF morning announcements on Friday. Voting will take place during the speeches. Candidates will have campaign posters in the hall and will be campaigning for your vote. Try not to make this a popularity contest.

2007-2008 ASB Candidate
There will be a short meeting today in the Art Room during Nutrition. This is the last opportunity to turn in the candidate packet.

7th and 8th Grade Field Trip
As we get closer and closer to this trip (MAY 20), the science department would like to remind students that they must be working hard to make good choices and behave properly on campus. Those who cannot act maturely on campus will not be given the chance to participate and you will be staying on campus for the day. We hope everyone works hard to treat each other right and always do the right thing when faced with difficult decisions. Ms. C, Mrs. Foster, Ms. West

Yearbook
The yearbook is now on sale for only $27.00. You can get an order from in the office from Mrs. Payne. Hurry it will only be on sale until May 30th.

Notes from the Principal
Keep respectful behavior going on at all times. Demonstrate your maturity and kindness by helping others to be respectful too.

As the weather gets warmer keep in mind that the dress code applies every day of school. If you are not in dress code, you will be asked to change into PE uniform.

Testing is important! Keep up the good work! Focus, be calm and try hard.

Attention Kayakers
We still have openings for Thursday kayaking sessions throughout May (free!). Grab a friend and your permission slip from either Miss West in room 10 or
Mr. O'Hara in room 21. See ya in the water!

UCSB Field Trip
This Wednesday after school we are going to UCSB's fun physics experiments room. Anyone can go, and it's FREE! See Ms. West in room 10 for a permission slip.
