The Earth Day water bottle toss winner was Antonio Velazquez. The classroom who had the most recycle was Mrs. Swarm's class. The winner of the 'random" drawing from that class is Emily Saito! Thank you to all the participants.

A Huge Thank you to Mr. Merritt, Mr. Campos and all the staff and students who helped with the Star Dog Kick-Off lunch on Friday! We have a "Terrific Team" at CMS, "Let's Rock The Test!!

Earth Day-You might have noticed fliers around the school regarding Earth Day TODAY! We will be holding a water bottle toss game for all ASB reps during lunch on the three block. The winner will get a gift card to somewhere around town! We are also holding a contest to see which SSR class has recycled the most. The winning class will get their names put into a drawing and the winner will also get a gift card.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNING GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM, which played at last nights exciting "Open House" tournament game. The team that won, was from period 4's PE class. Their captain was Monica Garcia, co-captain - Lesley Zapata (also the MVP for the game), Norma Manriquez, Ana Julian, and Edith Cardoso. Period 1's team took 2nd, and they were led by Arisbel Jasso, and played a great game as well!!! GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!!!

(If you haven't had a chance to participate in an Ocean Guards activity yet, but still want to go on the trip, come to the Tuesday lunch meeting and we will tell you how to earn a spot on the boat).

This is a mandatory meeting for the Santa Cruz Island camping trip. If you have participated in any Ocean Guards event, and would like to go on the camping trip, be in Ms. West's room 10 by 12:30 on Tuesday. (If you haven't had a chance to participate in an Ocean Guards activity yet, but still want to go on the trip, come to the Tuesday lunch meeting and we will tell you how to earn a spot on the boat).

A few seats in the van going to the event are still available!!!

SPARC is an event planned by teens for teens to inspire kids to find their “SPARC”- that thing that makes them happy and gives their life a sense of purpose. This will be a fun event, bringing teens from Carp, SB, and Goleta together with lots of activities, games, prizes, performers, and FREE FOOD!! Lots of fun! Thursday, April 14th is the date! There is still room in the van for kids interested in experiencing SPARC. See Ms. Llamas in room 5 for more information.
