SMENCIL Poetry: Can you do better than this?

My pencil is a Smencil,
I love it very much,
It helps me with my math and art,
And keeps my nose in touch.

If you are itching for a fancy smell
Or just wanting something rare,
A Smencil could be just the thing
To clear the surrounding air.

They only cost a dollar,
It really isn't much,
I think it's better spending money here
Than over at pizza hutch.

So, save your money, girls and boys
And put it where you will not peak,
Before you know it you can have,
A Smencil for each day of the week.

Fire drill yesterday:
The great news is that no student pulled it, and you all did a good job of leaving the building in an orderly and helpful fashion. The bad news is that it was a technical malfunction that could happen again some day. Remember, we treat all drills seriously as we don't want anyone hurt ever.

CADE Recycling:
Members will be recycling plastic bottles at lunch. Please throw only plastic bottles such as water and Gatorade bottles in the recycle bin. Thank you.

LUNCH REMINDERS: There are two reminders for students about behavior at lunch:

1. Students, do not run to lunch. Please walk or you may be asked to go back and start again.

2. Please make sure that your trash and all left overs get deposited into the trash cans at lunch and nutrition. Help discourage the seagulls.

REMINDER-BUS PARKING LOT:
You may NOT cut through the CUSD bus parking lot to come to school through the back gates. You must come all the way around.

SMENCILS ARE BACK! (Smelly pencils) See your science teacher to purchase your favorite flavors. There are even 2 new, wonderful flavors. Collect all 10 flavors. Cost is still $1 for 1. Collect 5 for five dollars. Get all 10 for ten dollars.

They write when you write!
They smell when you smell!
Be a winner, get a Smencil!

SMENCIL LIMERICKS: Can you do better than this?

If I were a Smencil, all smelly and fun,
I'd happily smell in the rain and the sun,
I'd wish to be purchased, and sharpened and set,
On a page of clever homework that needed to be met.
Buy a Smencil now, and let the fragrance run!

A SMENCIL Conversation:

Root Beer Smencil:
You know, you really smell.

Cherry Smencil: Thanks.

Root Beer Smencil: Aw, you don't have to don't thank me! I just like how you smell!

Buy a Smencil when you're feeling as dull as a sheep,
It's fragrance will wake you from the clutches of sleep,
And the aroma you inhale,
Will give you the strength of a whale,
And at one dollar they really are cheap!

SMENCIL Testimonials:

--I used to have trouble with my multiplication facts. I bought a Smencil and studied my facts for half an hour every night, and now I can multiply anything! - Mike, student

--I used to be unpopular. I bought a Smencil and now everything seems better! - Pat, student

--Once I spilled Thousand Island salad dressing in my backpack. It smelled terrible after a while. I put two Smencils in my backpack, and now it smells like chocolate, root beer salad! - Darnell, student

1. Students you should not be running to lunch. Some of you have gotten back into that bad habit. There is enough food for everyone. Please walk or you may be asked to go back and start again.

They are eating the food that you leave out. Please make sure that your trash and all left overs get deposited into the trash cans so that we reduce the incentive for seagulls to hang out here. If we work together to put food away, they won't be so bothersome.
