Inform Yourself: Read the Bulletin!

CLUB LIVE-
Today is the LAST DAY to turn in your Magic Mountain Permission slips, please turn them in to Ms. Cervantes in the office TODAY. (Miss Marcellino is out today.)

Garden Club
meets this Thursday in the Garden. We have lots of great things to do. See you there!

CADE Recycling: Members will be recycling plastic bottles at lunch. Please throw only plastic bottles such as water and Gatorade bottles in the recycle bin. Thank you.

Mix It Up Day:
This day is celebrated nationwide. On Thursday, November 13th mix it up by sitting at the table marked with your birthday month.

Who knows you might end up making a new friend, and Mrs. K is handing out treats!!!!!

LUNCH REMINDERS: There are two reminders for students about behavior at lunch:

1. Students, do not run to lunch. There is enough food for everyone. Please walk, or you may be asked to go back and start again.

2. Please make sure that your trash and all left overs get deposited into the trash cans at lunch and nutrition. If you leave food out, it encourages seagulls to look for your leftovers. This is not clean nor healthy for you or the seagulls.

REMINDER TO STUDENTS WHO LIVE IN THE DIRECTION OF 8TH STREET:
You may NOT cut through the CUSD bus parking lot to come to school through the back gates. It is dangerous. You must come all the way around to either the pool parking lot or by the Post Office parking lot from the front.

Veteran's Day: Tomorrow, Nov. 11, is Veteran's Day. No school. Have a good day, and be sure to think about the sacrifice that many Americans make for the security of our nation.

SMENCILS ARE BACK! (Smelly pencils) See your science teacher to purchase your favorite flavors. There are even 2 new, wonderful flavors. Collect all 10 flavors. Cost is still $1 for 1. Collect 5 for five dollars. Get all 10 for ten dollars.

They write when you write!
They smell when you smell!
Be a winner, get a Smencil!

SMENCIL LIMERICKS: Can you do better than this?

There was a young student from Carp,
Whose pencil was not very sharp,
He bought a pencil that smelled,
Like root beer I am telled,*
And he wrote stories as angels play harps.

(*Note: "telled" is not a word. This is an example of creative activity in poetry.)
