Daily Bulletin for Thursday, September 30th

Students, please do not wear rubber bracelets that contain inappropriate language for school even if they relate to cancer awareness. If you are wearing one of these bracelets, please put it in your pocket now and do not bring it to school again. They will be confiscated if seen. Please ask your questions about this to Mr Merritt.

Kayaking- There are still openings for free Thursday kayaking. We meet by the pool gate and walk to Ash St. We get our wetsuits and kayak out to Carp. reef. 6th graders sign up with Mr. O'Hara, 7th & 8th graders with Ms. West.

Rah, rah, sis boom bah! Love to cheer? Want to cheer? Attend the Warrior cheer clinic Thursday, Oct 7th from 4-6:30pm. $20 fee is due at pre-registration.
Performance will be Oct. 8th during the half time show at the Warrior varsity football game.

If you have picked up a Magic Mountain packet from Ms. Llamas any time before yesterday, it was missing a page! Please come by to get the second permission form required for the Magic Mountain trip. Or, if you need a new registration packet, there are more in room 5 (and they have all the pages in them). Don't forget, if you want to be guaranteed a seat on the bus, your money and forms are due on MONDAY. All others will be placed on a waiting list and it's first-come, first-serve. Final due date is October 17th.

Turn in your page count to Mrs. G TODAY by 3:30! Tomorrow the bulletin board will be updated with our current page count. Which grade has read the most? Which class has read the most. Inquiring minds want to know!!!

THERE WILL BE NO 3RD. PERIOD BAND TODAY (9/28/10) / STUDENTS PLEASE GO TO YOUR P.E. CLASS.

Magic Mountain Trip registration packets are still available! I have received many signed parent slip, but the important part is the $$$$$$$MONEY$$$$$$$ Forms (and money) are due October 4th (next Monday) if you want to be guaranteed a spot, and October 17th is the final day we are accepting participants. $50 for general admission (which includes the bus ride from CMS), $45 if you are a Club Live member. Go see Ms. Llamas in room 5 for a packet.

Club Live Leader meeting today at lunch in room 5! We will be discussing the training you attended on Friday night, reviewing the Leader Pledge, and beginning to plan Red Ribbon Week. Ms. Llamas does expect all of the leaders to show up today!

Happy Friday everyone!

Bike riders! ~ Protect your bikes by parking them in the bike rack on campus and remember to lock it up.

Valuables and money do get stolen from backpacks occasionally. Bring only what money you need for the day and keep it on you at all times.

Club Live leaders need to come to room 5 today at 3 pm for the leadership training van! If you haven't already handed in your permission forms, bring them today, or you can NOT come with us. =(

The Day of Caring is tomorrow, Saturday, from 8am to 1pm. Our worksite will be here in Carpinteria, and if you have an interest to help out in your community, it's not too late to sign up! Come by room 5 and talk to Ms. Llamas if you have questions.

ASB Meeting is Thursday in the Art room. Please use "Front of the Line" pass to quickly get your lunch. Meeting begins promptly at 12:30.

The United Way Day of Caring is this Saturday! If you would like to help, a group from CMS will be at the KinderKirk preschool in Carpinteria Saturday morning from 9:30am to 1pm. Or, if you would like to attend the free breakfast and rally, that begins at 8am at the the Page Youth Center in Santa Barbara. See Ms. Llamas for more details.

Magic Mountain is coming! The Club Live/Friday Night Live event is happening on Saturday, November 6th. If you are interested, see Ms. Llamas in room 5.

The deadline for the Fighting Back Drug-Free poster contest is next Wednesday, September 29th. Turn in your pictures to Ms. Llamas in room 5 by that time to participate in the competition. You might win hundreds of dollars for being proud to be drug free!

Back to School Night is Tonight. This is an event for PARENTS! Please do not come by campus to hang out. If you attend, you must stay with your parents. Don't forget to complete the schedule for your parents (you will get it 5th period) and give it to your parents so they know where to go.
