There will be a special presentation happening this coming Monday during period 3. See Ms. West in room 10 for more information about opportunities to participate!

Spin Club
Are you interested in getting a tough workout? Do you like music? If so, come to the spin room with Ms. Taylor on Mondays from 3:15-4:00 and get an exhilarating work out. Sessions will begin on Monday, October 25. Bring work out clothes, tennis shoes, and a water bottle.

ID Cards~ Mrs. Guarnero is now able to make replacement ID cards in the library.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week!!! (Try saying it 5 times fast) There will be an event at lunchtime every day next week to celebrate students nationwide who are fighting back against drugs and alcohol! Monday October 25th is Wear As Much Red As You Can day, and the winner will receive a prize! Also, Friday October 29th will see a Red Ribbon Week dance, and the theme is "say BOO to drugs." Hope to see you all at lunch time next week for the fun and festivities!!!

Ocean Guards, Friday 3-5pm, More Salt Marsh Adventures
Don't forget to get a permission slip from Ms West, room 10. We will be working with some of the resident organisms at the Marsh, so wear shoes that can get a little muddy.

The "Not Is Hot, I'm Drug Free" CMS poster contest is still accepting entries. There will be a winner from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, with fancy prizes of the winner's choosing! Submit your poster entries to Ms. Llamas in room 5, or go see her if you have any questions. All posters will be displayed during Red Ribbon Week in the showcase by room 5.

Kayaking
Get a permission slip from Ms. West or Mr. O'Hara. You must sign up every week so we can tell the lifeguards how many students to expect! Kayaking is FREE and FUN.

It's almost last call for the Magic Mountain trip! If you have not yet paid for the trip, you will not be going! Ms. Llamas needs your parent permission forms as well as your money! If you are unsure whether or not you're on the list to attend the trip on November 6th, go see Ms. Llamas. Otherwise, next Monday is the final day to turn in your registration. Don't miss out on an awesome event for all of the middle and high schools in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, and Goleta! The Magic Mountain trip is for YOU!
