Daily Bulletin for Tuesday, May 17th

2011-2012 ASB Officer Campaign begins today for 7th Grade and runs through Friday. Candidate speeches will be given during TGIF morning announcements on Friday. Voting will take place during the speeches. Candidates will have campaign posters in the hall and will be campaigning for your vote. Try not to make this a popularity contest and vote for the most qualified student!

2011-2012 ASB Officer Candidate Meeting will be in the Art Room at 12:30, Tuesday. Please bring all completed forms for this short meeting.

CMS Glee Club is having a concert Tuesday May 17, 2011 at 5 pm in the MPR. Please come and enjoy an afternoon of music put on by the CMS Glee Club. See you there!

We are putting the final touches on the recycling bins and talking about the camping trip.

Congratulations to the 6th graders who competed in the Math Superbowl! Students completed individual tests, team questions and a team building competition of building a tower. Super congratulations to Sam Gonzales who placed 5th in the individual competition. He was the highest scoring Carpinteria student!

Looking to have some FUN this summer and earn 5 units of high school credit? June 27th to July 15th there will be a College Career Camp. But hurry, sign-up is on a first come, first served basis and the spots will fill up quickly!!! There's even 3 field trips planned. It's a GREAT opportunity to explore and participate in college/career activities and earn 5 credits!!! Sign up sheet is in the office.

Cheerleading tryouts for CHS will be on Friday, May 27th at 4 pm in the high school gym. Workshops will be held from 5:30 to 7 pm from Tuesday, May 24th to Thursday, May 26th in the CHS gym. Pick up cheer packets in the office and turn in completed forms to Helen in the CHS office.

No school tomorrow. It's a teacher workday.
