Unity Shoppe canned food drive begins Monday, November 15 and ends Friday, December 15, 2010!!!!!! Please donate cans or non-perishable foods. Bring to your 5th period SSR teacher we will be having a contest against grade levels.

Club Live leader meeting today in room 5 at lunch! Do we want to put together some sort of party for December? (Yes, it's only November, but it's never too early to plan.) Are we interested in doing any school-wide education regarding holiday DUI statistics, or perhaps revealing the truth about alcoholic malt beverages, energy drinks, and what they do to kids? You tell me, Club Live is your club. Room 5, lunch, whoever wants to lead and make a difference at CMS.

Miss Cervantes will be hosting a study hall in room 7 for the next few days during lunch: Tuesday 11/9 and Wednesday 11/10. If you have missing assignments this is a great opportunity to get them completed. Study hall is NOT part of the detention center, it is strictly for kids who are interested in making up missing work before the 12 week grading period. Please note: this is not mandatory, you must want to participate. ANY student disturbing others or misbehaving will be asked to leave immediately.

Attention to Flag football players in Ms. West and Mrs. Leiter's S.S.R classes. If you have signed up to play you will need to be on the field, TODAY. Please be on the field by 12:25.

Mix it Up Day
It's that time of the year for Mixitup day is TODAY in the Quad! This is a celebration that is celebrated all over the United States in every school! It's a great way to meet new students at CMS. Look for a table representing your birthday month and have lunch with a new group of students who have something in common with you! You might meet a new BFF! Mrs. "K" will be giving treats to those who participate!

Attention 6th graders: Battle of the Books is coming!
All 6th grade readers are invited to come to a fun and informational meeting on Friday, Nov 12 in Mr. O'Hara's room at 12:30 to find out about an exciting opportunity to compete at this year's CUSD Battle of the Books. Check with your 6th grade Lg. Arts teacher for this year's book list! See you at the meeting with Mr. O'Hara & Mrs. Swarm!
