Attention 6th graders: Battle of the Books is coming!
All 6th grade readers are invited to come to a fun and informational meeting on Friday, Nov 12 in Mr. O'Hara's room at 12:30 to find out about an exciting opportunity to compete at this year's CUSD Battle of the Books. Check with your 6th grade Lg. Arts teacher for this year's book list! See you at the meeting with Mr. O'Hara & Mrs. Swarm!

Ocean Guards, Friday 3-5pm, Salt Marsh Adventure
That's right, another organism adventure at the Salt Marsh. You need to have filled out a permission slip and must have some sort of transportation (a bike to ride or a parent to drive you). Talk to Ms West if you have questions.

Kayaking, Thursday 3-5pm
This might be your last chance in 2010 to go kayaking! Get a permission slip from Ms. West or Mr. O'Hara. You must tell us by Wednesday if you are planning to go so we can get enough lifeguards.

CADE Fundraiser had to be rescheduled to Wednesday, November 3rd. Come and support CADE by purchasing tamales, rice, beans, and horchata Wednesday at lunch. Prices are on the flyers in the main hall.

Congratulations to Foster/Taylor 6th grade football team. They are moving on to the finals to play McCulley/Castagna on Tuesday November 2. Please be on the field by 12:25.

Yearbook Order Forms are in the office. Please, don't wait until the last minute to order your fantastic yearbook!
Cost is $30.00 and will be more after Spring Break!!


Junior Achievement is having a class in the After School Program called "It's My Business." It will be offered every Tuesday at 3:30 in Ms. Rios room. The class teaches you about business, how to market good ideas, be creative and MAKE MONEY! Come Join!
