AVID
Students if you want to go to college but know you need a little help and encouragement, you might want to be in the AVID class next year. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, which means you want to advance yourself or better your life in the future by your personal determination and some help from us at CMS. If you are interested, sign up with Ms. Cervantes, one of our counselors this week. It won’t commit you, it will just let you be part of the selection process. There is limited space available.

Students if you see or know of something wrong going on here at CMS, please report it immediately to a staff member so that we can take care of it. You can do this in writing and give that note to a teacher, a counselor or Mrs. Rynott or Mrs. Sexsmith. You can also email us or call us. You can also use the report a bully online service on the Carpinteria Unified School District website: under CMS, under the heading links, you can report a bully or any other problem from your home or school. We keep your identity anonymous no matter what. Help us help you. We want CMS to be a safe campus for everyone.
