Word of the Day

PEDESTRIAN -- (this is usually a noun / but can be an ADJ as well) Those moving on foot; ordinary Drivers should be careful to watch out for PEDESTRIANS. (Noun) The vacationing students wanted to do something other than PEDESTRIAN activities like going the movies or watching TV.

Dress Code
Remember the dress code if it is not followed at all times you will have to wear your PE clothes or a shirt provided by Ms. Rynott.

Need advice?
Write your unanswered questions to Lil Miss Smarty-Pants and place them in Mrs. Taylor's box by 3rd period on Tuesday, January 22.

Yearbook
The last day to order your yearbook with personalization is Friday, January 25th.

Homeroom Competition
Remember, today during SSR judges will be coming around to judge your classroom door. Make sure it is decorated in a Patriotic/MLK theme. The winner will get 50 points. It's still anyone's game!
Keep up the school spirit, you are all doing great!

Dance Tickets
Pre sale dance tickets will be on sale at lunch in the quad area for $5.00. There will be no dance tickets sold at the door on the night of the dance. Any students suspended on or after December 7th cannot attend the dance.

Talent Show Tryouts
Tues., Jan.29th and Wed. Jan. 30th, in the MPR tryouts for the talent show after school. Bring your music for the tryouts. See Mrs. Tito with questions.
This year's talent show is titled "Middle School Musical" We will need two people for MC's Troy and Gabriella. Let Mrs. Tito know if you are interested. The date for the show is Wed., March 26, 7:00p.m. We need a variety of acts but keep them to two minutes long.

Garden Club
Garden Club is going on it's first Fieldtrip of the year. In order to go, you must have a signed permission slip in by Garden Club this Thursday. If you want to go on the trip, please see Miss Camardella for one, if you did not get one in Garden Club last time. We will be exploring our local Farmer's Market in town so bring comfortable shoes. It will be a great time!

Dancing Drums
Dancing Drum starts again today at 3:30 in the MPR. It is a multi cultural way of expressing rhythm thru drumming and dancing. Great fun. Come and join us.

7th and 8th Grade Information:
ASB Meeting
ASB meeting today during SSR please bring your recycle box come quickly and quietly.

6th Grade Information:
Surf Club
Surf Club meets today during lunch in Mr. O'Hara's room. We will discuss the Volcom Contest this Saturday, 1-20, at Pipes, Ventura (C-Street).
