Word of the Day
This week, we will focus on Nouns. Many nouns end in "tion," such as today's word... ABLUTION -- a cleansing with water or other liquid, especially as a religious ritual. The witch doctor used ABLUTIONS of clear water to cleanse the stricken man.
Yearbook
The last day to order your yearbook with personalization is Friday, January 25th.
Homeroom Competition
Tuesday is show school spirit by wearing red, white, or black. The homeroom with the most teachers and students showing school spirit will get bonus points.
Friday is the last day for the MLK door-decorating contest. It will be judged during 5th period on Friday. Teachers have one day during SSR to decorate their door.
Dance Tickets
Pre-sale dance tickets will be on sale at lunch in the quad area for $4; otherwise it's $5 at the door the day of the dance.
Garden Club
Garden Club will meet this Thursday, after school. We will meet in the Garden. See you there!
TV101
Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 in room 1.

Media/Fashion Literacy
Continues to meet from 4:00 to 5:00 in room 1. Class is about Media's focus on appearance, fashion and beauty. Plus, designing clothes and exploring makeup options and more.
Chess Club
Meets every Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in Home EC. room. Great opportunity to learn how to play Chess.
Diabetes Resource Center
Sports program begins January 22 and is every Tuesday and Thursday. If you are interested, come to the lunch area after school and join us. Will be staring out with Basketball.
7th and 8th Grade Information:
CADE
CADE will meet this Thursday during lunch in room 12.
