Voting results for end of year reading celebration ~ 168 students voted and out of that number, 115 students voted for Mr. Merritt to sing karaoke! Mark your calenders ~ June 2nd at lunch will be Mr. Merritt's singing debut! Don't forget your earplugs!!!

Attention 8th grade AVID Students: The CHS summer football camp is July 16-July 19. So you will be able to go to the Algebra Academy and go to the football camp. Remember to turn in your applications to Mrs. Thomas by 3:00 today.

AVID Reminder ~  7th & 8th grade AVID students. Friday, June 1st is our end of the year field trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Please remember to honor the contract by earning a C or better in every class and maintaining a Satisfactory or better for citizenship. That means if you’re earning a D or F in any class, you will not be attending the trip. Also, if any teacher marks an N or U for citizenship, that means you will not be earning the privilege to attend the trip and all text and library books must be accounted for. Mrs. Nunez and Mr. Johnson will do the next AVID Grade-check by Wednesday, May 23rd.

Art Class has 5 students whose art pieces were chosen as finalist for the Santa Barbara Tri-Cities on-line  Art Show. The students artwork can be viewed at www.studentartfund.org. Congratulations to Gaby Fantone, Choe Papke, Hannah Gonzalez, Alvin Flores, and Jamie Geston.

CAMPING TRIP, Last week to sign up!!!!
Ms. West needs to know by Friday who is coming. EVERY STUDENT AT CMS is welcome to join! Get a permission slip from Ms West. 8th graders that already signed up, I still need you to reconfirm (many of you turned in money, so if you are no longer going you might want that back).
