Astro Camp: Postponed due to rain ~ Bad News--> UCSB called off the trip due to gnarly weather in the forecast (you can't see stars during a storm). Good News--> we won't be sleeping in mud this Friday, AND now you have time to gather more friends for the adventure! Any 8th grader can get a permission slip from Ms West, room 10. New date to be announced.

Are you a peddlar...of bicycles that is. Would you like to learn bike mechanics and street riding skills? The Pedal Power after school program will start April 18th for 6 weeks Wed and Fridays from 3:30-5:00. Registration is only $20 and there are only 12 spaces available so if you are interested do it now! See Joy for a registration form and answers to any questions you may have.

Attention All 6th grade students ~Leadership class is anxiously looking forward to meeting with you at lunch TODAY! You should be receiving a letter from your big buddy reminding you about this meeting. So, please take this seriously and meet them in the designated places. There might even be treats!

Free 4 the Weekend ~ Hey CMS! This week is Free 4 the Weekend, where we celebrate healthy choices and ask each of you to Join The Crowd, Br Drug-Free and Proud! Only 3 days left to get bracelets and pledges from Ms. Llamas (in case of rain, go to room 5). Be proud to show that you will do the right thing for YOU and live a life free of substances. Did you know that the majority of junior high students have NEVER tried alcohol?  And, in the last month, 9 out of 10 seventh graders choose NOT to use alcohol.  Also, most junior high students have NEVER tried marijuana?  92% of 7th graders have NEVER tried marijuana.  Join the Crowd, Make the Pledge!!!
