Congratulations to Kristina Burch, Andrea Delgado & Justin Sinclair who were the winners in last nights CMS spelling bee! All walked away with some cool cash & hardware... Kristina and Andrea will move on to the County Bee in March!

CADE Celebrating Adversity Diversity and Education
We would like to thank all students and CMS staff for supporting our fundraiser for our trip to Berkeley and Stanford this spring. We would also like to share a fact about Black History Month with you all:

Americans have recognized black history annually since 1926, first as "Negro History Week" and later as "Black History Month." What you might not know is that black history had barely begun to be studied-or even documented-when the tradition originated. Although blacks have been in America at least as far back as colonial times, it was not until the 20th century that they gained a respectable presence in the history books.

Next week we will share another historical fact about Black History.


Sixth Graders: No eating in the sixth grade quad during nutrition. Use the lunch quad. We are having trouble with the seagulls.

2008-2009 Yearbooks are on sale for $28.00. Yearbooks can be bought in the office. Prices will be raised after Spring Break! So, be "Responsible" and buy now!
