2008-2009 ASB Officers Candidate Meeting for 7th Grade Students
If you are a leader, make good grades and have outstanding citizenship. The opportunity to be an ASB officer is just for you. Bring your lunch, today, to the Art room. We will have an informative meeting regarding the election for officers.

Trees
Students Please do not hang on, climb on, attack, or abuse any of the trees on campus. They are here for shade and beauty if you are caught abusing the trees disciplinary action will be taken.

CMS Bulletin 04/17/2008

All School Information:
Breakfast
Friday Morning Pancakes. Pancakes fresh off the griddle will be on sale this Friday in the lunch quad before school from 7:50 to 8:20. The cost will be $2 for 3 pancakes. All sales benefit students working toward their Washington DC trip.

Garden Club
There is no Garden Club today.

CADE
Skating Plus field trip this Friday, April 18th! Permission slips must be tuned in Thursday! Please stop by room 12 today for a permission slip and an informational meeting during lunch.

Kayaking (6th, 7th, 8th)
The weather looks good, so we are planning on going out for our first adventure this today after school. We will meet in the Palm Ave. parking lot at 3:05. Come get your permission slips if you haven't already! See Ms. West (room 10) or Mr. O'Hara (room 21).

Spring Pictures
Today is picture day. Everyone will get his or her picture taken during PE. Independent PE students please come to the MPR during Nutrition or Lunch.

At 4th period, a group of students will be asked to go to the MPR during SSR, they must go right after lunch instead of going back to class, attendance will be taken.

Due to the Santa Barbara County Science Fair, Garden Club will have to be cancelled Thursday, April 17th. Miss C needs to take the group up to UCSB for set-up.

Girls Inc. Kicks Butts

Today Girls Inc. of Carpinteria will celebrate "National Kick Butts Day", to promote a cleaner cigarette butt-free city. The event, held from 2:30 to 6:30pm at the Art Center, 855 Linden Ave., will feature fun and games for all, including prizes. All are encouraged to bring a bag of at least 20 cigarette butts picked off the streets of Carpinteria for special prizes.

Spring Open House

Spring Open house is tonight from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Bring your friends and family to showcase all the amazing talent here at CMS!

The talent show video is now available. The cost is $7.00. There is a limited number so hurry and see Mrs. Payne in the office if you want to purchase one.

Washington DC Trip
Washington DC fund raiser meeting will be in Mr. J's room (32) today at 12:30. Anyone that wants to raise some cash for his or her trip should attend.
