Dr. Seuss's Read Across America birthday celebration: This Friday! Wear your craziest hat! Do the brain challenge! Participate in the scavenger hunt! Take an AR test! Prizes will be awarded!
What's the brain challenge you ask? Answering 5 questions about Theodor Seuss Geisel (see Mrs. G in the library for the challenge sheet).
What's the scavenger hunt you ask? Trying to find the Cat in the Hat which is hidden some where around the school (not the office) and then telling Mrs. G where he is so she can enter your name in the drawing.
Read the Most from Coast to Coast: Join the nationwide challenge to top the old record for the number of AR quizzes taken in one day. Last year 3,581,992 were taken.
Spirit Week is coming from March 4th to March 8th
Monday ~ Pajama Day : Wear your pj's to school. We will be having a biggest stuffed animal contest on the stage at lunch.
Tuesday ~ Twin Day : There will be a contest to see who the best twins are on the stage at lunch.
Wednesday ~ Hippie Day: There will be a contest for best happy face drawing on the stage at lunch.
Thursday ~ Superhero Day: Wear you favorite superhero costume or create your own and participate in the relay we will be holding on the field at lunch on Thursday March 7th! Hope to see you all then :)
Friday ~ Hillbilly Day:Dress like a Red-Neck for a day and give us your most Mr. Hotchner like accent. We will be holding a contest for best accent on the stage at lunch.
Superhero Teacher: It is time to vote for the "Super Hero Teacher" for February. We need your input to honor the most helpful, supportive teacher. Please go online to the CMS webpage. Choose "Links" and then vote. Please vote once! Last chance to vote is TOMORROW
Talent Show news: Countdown to the talent show. It's important for Mrs. Tito to see all participants this week. Still need some permission slips. The microphone will be set up today and tomorrow. See Mrs. Tito to set a time up if you want to practice with the mic or to let her know that you do not have your music. Tickets will go on sale the end of this week. They are $3.00 each and sell out fast. See Mrs. G. in the library or Mrs. Tito to purchase tickets.
